Psychico College Elementary School - 1c and 1f participate in Make-A-Wish Creative Competition

May 9, 2025

In an effort to cultivate the values of cooperation and solidarity, the students of sections 1c and 1f, under the guidance of the school's Art teacher, Ms. Vasiliki Spyrou, took part in creative activities inspired by the mission of Make-A-Wish Greece.

By learning how the wishes of children with serious illnesses are granted, students came to understand that when people unite and give with love, the world becomes a brighter, more humane place.

Their next step was entering a creative competition organized by Make-A-Wish Greece. The students were invited to design a poster capturing what moved and inspired them through these awareness-raising activities.

Their little hands painted with joy. Drawing inspiration from the world around them - little heroes, warm homes, hugs, hearts, stars near and far - they transformed values of solidarity into color, texture, and form. After many sessions of discussion, words, readings, and reflections, the students' creations came together like a kaleidoscope on the large star of the Make-a-Wish poster, with a shared hope for a more compassionate world at its heart.

With great enthusiasm and care, coordinating teachers Ms. Eleni Pliaka, Ms. Katerina Bitsidi, and Ms. Vasiliki Spyrou worked in a warm, creative environment alongside their students from sections 1c and 1f of Psychico College Elementary School.

Congratulations to everyone involved!
