Athens College Junior High School's UNESCO Club Mission to Venice

Students of Athens College Junior High School UNESCO Club participated in a school mission to Venice (April 3 - 7, 2024) and visited the UNESCO Regional Office in Palazzo Zorzi, where they were welcomed by the UNESCO staff who explained to them the role and importance of UNESCO.

During their stay in Venice, students toured the city and its canals, visited the Basilica of St. Mark, the Church of St. George of the Greeks, and the Doge's Palace. They also visited the island of Murano, where they watched a glass-blowing demonstration.

Finally, they visited the city of Verona, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where they toured the historic center and the city's Arena.
