Trigonometry activities by Psychico College Junior High School students

Feb 29, 2024
Students of Psychico College Junior High School 2 carried out activities on the Psychico Campus, applying mathematical ideas and demonstrating the usefulness of mathematics in a fun way. These actions contribute to the development of mathematical thinking and the collective formation of mathematical meaning.

More specifically, the students used trigonometry to calculate inaccessible distances within the school grounds such as the height of Benaki Hall, the height where the apex is placed, the length of the lightning rod, the height of the cypress trees in front of the Benaki Hall, the height of the College Theater and the height of the sculpture by Takis, on its courtyard.
