Τhe Dean of Harvard Graduate School of Design spoke to Athens College High School students

On Wednesday, January 31, Sarah M. Whiting, Dean of the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD), visited our School and spoke to Athens College and Psychico College High School students who are interested in studying architecture. Ms. Whiting was accompanied by GSD Assistant Dean Michael Voligny and Whitney Stone, Senior Regional Director.
Ms. Whiting was introduced by Athens College President, Professor Spiros N. Pollalis. She gave a brief presentation on GSD and a series of summer introductory courses in Architecture and Urban Design offered to High School graduates. She then had a very interesting discussion with our students, talking about topics such as what different meanings one can give to design and how AI can affect architecture, and then answered all the pupils' questions.
The event was attended by Mr. Alexandros Samaras, President of the Hellenic Harvard Foundation and member of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation (former Chairman of the Board of Directors), as well as Athens College and Harvard alumni.
A tour of the "J.M. Carras" Kindergarten by Mr. Samaras followed.
