On Saturday, April 29, 2023 members of the Athens College Elementary Percussion Band ‘Drumsticks’, under the guidance of their music teacher Ms. Despoina Bogdani Sougioul and in the presence of the Director Mr. Giannis Kalogeras, accompanied the function ‘Blue Walk’, organized by the charity foundation Make-a-Wish, with the sounds of their percussion instruments.

Starting on Saturday afternoon from Dionysiou Aeropagitou street, at the level of the Herodes Atticus Theater, the band accompanied volunteers, families, and friends of the foundation on their walk whose aim was two-fold:

a)  To commemorate the first wish which was made by Chris, while wearing something blue and

b)  to offer lovely surprises to Despoina, a Make-a-wish child who faces mobility restrictions and who launched the event, thus honoring the 43rd anniversary of the global organization Make-a-Wish, in the best way possible. The Percussion Band ‘DRUMSTICKS’, along with all the people who gathered, concluded their walk at Technopolis City of Athens.

The event was held under the auspices of the Municipality of Athens and with the support of Technopolis City of Athens.
