On Thursday, December 8, all kindergarten classes at J.M. Carras Kindergarten, Athens College, attended a presentation by Mrs. Mata Bardis pertaining to the transdisciplinary theme, How We Express Ourselves, with the central idea: “People express themselves through stories”. Mrs. Bardis is from Japan. She told students about the stories originating from her country, ideograms that are used as well as the different alphabets and many characters students learn by the time they finish school. At the end of the presentation, she and her mother sang a Japanese children’s song together.
