As part of the Interdisciplinary unit of inquiry “How We Organize Ourselves”, Pre-K students from the Clam, Coral and Seashell classes, visited the Athens City Hall and met with the Mayor and his associates. Mr. Bakoyannis gave a tour of the City Hall to all students and spoke to them about his daily duties and responsibilities. Moreover, students had the opportunity to see vehicles of the cleaning fleet used to clean the city of Athens, the recycling truck and the electric vacuum cleaners for the streets that are environmentally friendly. Everybody was elated at taking the tour, learning about the city we live in and receiving souvenirs. It was a remarkable educational experience for all students!
