Neuropsychologist Elisabeth Calbari Speaks to Athens College Employees

On Friday, April 9, 2021, neuropsychologist, Elisabeth Calbari, gave an online lecture to the College’s teaching and administrative staff on “Resilience: A Fundamental Tool for a Return to the School Community.”

Ms. Calbari raised issues that concern College employees in view of their return to School and answered their questions.

The event was organized by the Psychoeducational Department of Athens College.

College President, Prof. Costas Synolakis ’75, gave the opening remarks.

A little about Elisabeth Calbari

Elisabeth Calbari is a neuropsychologist, executive trainer, and science journalist on matters of brain, psychology and behavioral sciences. She is a neuroleadership trainer on self-improvement and wellness programs that lead to better performance, focus, resilience and emotional control. She has been awarded for the creation and effectiveness of programs provided by her company both in Greece and abroad that are based on the practical application of neuroscience, psychology, and leadership behavior.

Over the past 24 years, she has been entrusted by multinational corporations, bank and shipping companies, as well as healthcare and pharmaceutical companies in Greece and Europe to work with executives. During these collaborations, crew members, health professionals, teachers, executives and managers learn to optimize communication, concentration and performance under difficult and stressful situations.

She is the founder of Self-Balance, which provides training and evaluation in behavior management and personal skills improvement, tailored to the needs of executives and managers in the business world.
