Psychico College Elementary School, represented by teachers Ms. Melina Zampeli (Program Coordinator of the “Adopt a Ship” program) and Ms. Angeliki Zogopoulou, participated in the Posidonia 2026 International Shipping Exhibition, as part of the Project Connect conference. During the event, they presented the “Adopt a Ship” program—implemented at our School for the past seven years—under the title: “Adopt a Ship: How Early Education Shapes the Future of Shipping”, on Thursday, June 4, at Metropolitan Expo.

The founder and director of Project Connect, Irene Notias, spoke about the organization’s journey, from its early beginnings to its current growth.

The conference brought together members of the shipping community, representatives of companies and industry organizations, captains, and educators, providing a platform for exchanging views on the impact of the Adopt a Ship™ program on education.

Through the perspectives and experiences shared by participants, the value of connecting education with the shipping industry was highlighted—along with the global nature of the sector and the opportunities it offers.
