On Monday, June 6, students in Grades 1 and 6 enthusiastically participated in the cleanup of Varkiza Beach. The activity was organized as part of the PYP transdisciplinary theme “How We Share the Planet.” The Mayor of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni, Mr. Konstantellos, welcomed the children and spoke to them about the importance of their contribution.

Cleanup Day was a meaningful initiative through which students demonstrated that, even at a young age, they can be agents of change.

After the activity, first- and sixth-graders enjoyed their snacks, and there was plenty of time to play in the sand!
