Elementary and IBDP students' artistic collaboration

Apr 22, 2026

During the months of February and March, IB Diploma Programme students had the pleasure and opportunity to visit Athens College and Psychico College Elementary Schools, participating in a particularly creative and meaningful collaboration with younger students through a variety of visual arts activities.

This collaboration was based on interaction, the exchange of ideas, and shared artistic expression. The students worked together on activities such as creating circles and compositions on large sheets of paper, working with clay, printmaking, graphic design, and sculpture using recyclable materials. Through these activities, the children had the opportunity to experiment with different materials and techniques, develop their imagination, and express themselves freely through art.

The cooperation between the older and younger students was especially important, as the IB students took on a guiding and supportive role, strengthening their sense of responsibility, teamwork, and contribution. At the same time, the younger students felt encouraged and confident, participating with enthusiasm and spontaneity in every activity.

This experience proved to be highly beneficial for both sides. Art functioned as a bridge of communication, fostering creativity, collaboration, and mutual respect. The students not only gained new skills, but also experienced the joy of collective creation, discovering the power of cooperation through the educational and artistic process.

This project left very positive impressions and became a unique learning experience, proving that when art meets collaboration, the results are meaningful, educational, and deeply human.
