The recent experiential excursion for Grade 4 students to Ancient Corinth and Loutraki was a great success and was met with great enthusiasm by the students. The activities were designed to enrich the learning experience beyond classroom walls and were integral to the current PYP Unit of Inquiry centered on the theme “Where We Are in Place and Time.”

As part of this transdisciplinary program, the students' day began with a meaningful encounter with history. The children visited the Archaeological Museum of Ancient Corinth, where they toured the site under the guidance of their teachers. Through observation and field research, our students had the opportunity to experience firsthand the continuity of human civilization, connect the past with the present, and understand how local history shapes the world around us.

Aiming for well-rounded student development, the second part of our field trip was dedicated to activities at Loutraki Sportcamp. The children took turns participating in athletic activities, actively fostering cooperation and team spirit.

We returned with a wealth of memories and new insights, having observed firsthand how immersive experiences enhance critical thinking and children’s active participation in the learning process. Congratulations to all the students on their cooperation and their “thirst” for discovery!
