As part of the theme “How the World Works,” Grade 1 students at Psychico College Elementary School are exploring the changing seasons through hands-on activities and close observation of nature.

On Wednesday, May 6, the students visited the School’s small forest and enjoyed a spring picnic filled with exploration, play, and joy. With great enthusiasm and curiosity, they observed plants, insects, poppies, and the sounds of nature, discovering little “treasures” that are a part of their everyday environment.

The experience was enriched with creative activities. The children measured and compared branches, approaching basic mathematical concepts through interaction with the natural environment. At the same time, they developed their own spring-themed vocabulary, recording words inspired by the season on colorful Post-it notes.

In an atmosphere of carefree enjoyment and collaboration, the students relaxed under the trees, strengthening their connection with the natural world and creating beautiful memories of a special spring day.
