Kindergarten students at J.M. Carras Kindergarten welcomed the Association of Social Responsibility for Children and Youth (SKEP), a nonprofit organization that fosters an inclusive society, and participated in the educational program entitled “Focus on the Person”. The program promotes coexistence, empathy, acceptance, solidarity, personal development, and respect for each individual’s uniqueness and disabilities. Students practiced social and communication skills as they asked Dimitra Kontova, the motivational speaker and Inclusion and Accessibility Consultant at SKEP, various questions whose genuine approach and spontaneity is inspiring when sharing images, stories and emotions drawn from her daily experiences.
