Psychico College Elementary School - Children's Entrepreneurship Program - Grade 6

Mar 12, 2026

As part of the PYP transdisciplinary theme "How we organize ourselves," the Children's Entrepreneurship Program was implemented for another year at Psychico College Elementary School. All Grade 6 students took part in the program, guided by their class advisors and supported by teachers from various subject areas, who contributed their expertise and skills. The program was further strengthened by the involvement of parents, who served as both business mentors and financial advisors, and by the contributions of dedicated entrepreneurship trainers.

Throughout the program, students worked collaboratively to establish and organize an original business. Through this experience, they were able to apply academic knowledge in real-world contexts, and, most importantly, develop key competencies such as creativity, collaboration, self-assessment, self-regulation, decision-making, and technological literacy.

The program culminated in Entrepreneurship Day, during which Grade 6 students presented the full scope of their work to their parents: from forming their company and conducting research to using tools and resources, showcasing their results, and reflecting on their actions.

At the same time, parents had the opportunity to purchase products from the student-run companies, thereby supporting the program's corporate social responsibility initiative. A portion of the proceeds was donated to support a meaningful cause.
