Psychico College Elementary School - Educational visit to the Ancient Agora - Grade 4
Psychico College Elementary School Grade 4 embarked on an educational visit to the Ancient Agora of Athens, one of the most significant sites of the ancient city. The students had the opportunity to see firsthand the place where ancient Athenians gathered to discuss public matters, exchange goods, and make important decisions that shaped democracy. During the tour, they visited the Temple of Hephaestus, one of the best-preserved monuments of antiquity, and learned about the function of public buildings and arcades (stoas) within the Agora.
Through this experience, the students gained a deeper understanding of how democracy functioned in ancient Athens and how the Agora served as the center of political, social, and commercial activity. The visit provided a unique learning opportunity, combining classroom knowledge with direct engagement with history.
