Educational visit by Psychico College High School to scientific centers in Germany
The educational visit of 16 students from Psychico College High School to leading scientific centers and research organizations in Germany from February 9-13, 2026, was a great success. The purpose of the visit was to introduce students to cutting-edge research programs and modern scientific developments.
The visit program included guided tours and workshops at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, the Institute of Earth Sciences at Heidelberg University, and the European organizations for meteorological satellites and space exploration, EUMETSAT and ESA. The itinerary also featured a one-day trip to Strasbourg, where students attended part of the European Parliament's plenary session.
Throughout the visits, students had the opportunity to speak with researchers and scientists about their ongoing projects, the technological challenges they face, and the demands of their scientific and academic careers.
The visit was organized by teachers M. Vlachou and D. Kontostaylaki, and the students were accompanied by teachers M. Vlachou and G. Diplaris.
