On Thursday, February 19, the Grade 1 students revived the custom of Lady Lent (Kyra Saracosti). They rolled up their sleeves, kneaded the dough, measured seven feet—one for each week leading up to Easter. And just like that, Lady Lent was ready! According to tradition, the seventh and last foot is cut on Holy Saturday and hidden inside a dry fig. Whoever finds this fig among the others is believed to have good luck.

Have a good Lent!
