The "Charalampos Vellis" Kindergarten Library Promotes Language Learning
Feb 13, 2026
In the “Charalampos Vellis” kindergarten library, the month of February is dedicated to language learning and organizing activities to celebrate International Greek Language Day and International Mother Language Day. Students discovered the importance of language and the power of multilingualism through interactive storytelling sessions.
Parents whose mother tongue is different from Greek or English were invited to the library to share short stories and read books in their own language, contributing to the cultivation of respect for diverse cultures and linguistic identities.
Our library simultaneously began collaborating with the “Myrsini Zorba” Children’s Library of the Network for Children’s Rights, hosting a selection of books that promote multilingualism, diversity, and a love for reading. In addition, the Athens College French Department visited our library as part of the program entitled “Je Parle Français: Let’s Play in French”, coordinated by Ms. Anna Louiza Vallindra and Mr. Dimitris Anagnostopoulos.
We warmly thank everyone!
