Feb 4, 2026

With the new year underway and students returning to their daily school routine after the holidays, our Library reopened its doors with a rich series of activities that fostered creativity, knowledge, and reflection on important issues.

Students in Grades 4, 5, and 6 attended a dramatized narration of the first book in Enid Blyton's "Famous Five" series, presented by Goni Louka. Τhrough play, action, and theatrical expression, the narration transported students into a world of mystery and adventure, bringing their beloved heroes to life.

At the same time, the school librarians delivered presentations to all Grade 6 classes, introducing students to essential research skills. These sessions focused on how to locate reliable information, properly document sources, and evaluate their validity and usefulness. The presentations formed an important part of the students' preparation for the PYP Exhibition, equipping them with the tools needed for a comprehensive and responsible research project.

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, author Argyro Pipini presented her book "Zaza" to two Grade 6 classes, offering students an opportunity for thoughtful reflection on historical events and the enduring values of memory and humanity.

In addition, author Sofia Artzanidou presented her book "The Earth Has a Fever" to two Grade 2 and one Grade 3 classes, engaging students in discussions about climate change, environmental protection, and the importance of personal and collective responsibility.

January at our Library was filled with activities that promoted knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity, once again highlighting its role as a vibrant hub of learning and inspiration within our School.
