Participation of Psychico College Junior High School Grade 3 students in the 10th European Student Conference in Vienna

Dec 10, 2025

From November 24 to December 2, 2025, the 10th European Student Conference was held in Vienna under the title: "From the Europe of the Past to the Europe of our Future."

The students who participated were: Anna Amargiotaki, Andreas Apostolopoulos, Eleni Zervomanolaki, Nafsika Bouchori, Daphne Delopoulou, Eirini Petroglou, Despina Sarantou, and Danai Petsini.

Under the guidance of teachers Anastasia Gialeli and Maria Konstantinou, the group of students presented their project titled "Psychoanalysis Meets Literature in 20th-century Europe." Their project was preceded by extensive research on the emergence of psychoanalysis and its connection to the literary movement of Surrealism. To conclude the presentation, student Anna Amargiotaki improvised a violin piece inspired by Ludovico Einaudi's composition Le Onde (The Wave).

During the roundtable discussion that followed, student Anna Amargiotaki represented the School, emphasizing the importance of cooperation, solidarity, and empathy as fundamental values for building a just, peaceful, and collaborative society.

The conference offered students an opportunity to meet peers from other schools, highlight the "dialogue" between art and psychoanalysis, and deepen their awareness of the core values of European culture.

In addition to participating in the conference, the students enjoyed a guided tour of the Museum of Art History, the Belvedere Museum, and the Albertina Museum, explored Vienna's historic city center (City Hall, St. Stephen's Cathedral, Christmas market, etc.), and attended the augmented reality program "Time Travel: Sisi's Amazing Journey."

Congratulations to the entire team for their excellent representation at the conference!
