Psychico College Elementary School Grade 1 visits the Kantza farmers' market
On Friday, January 23, Psychico College Elementary School Grade 1 students went on an educational visit to the Kantza farmers' market. The activity is part of the PYP transdisciplinary theme "How the world works," through which children study the changing seasons and their impact on nature and people.
One topic already covered in class is the seasonality of fruit and vegetables. During their experiential visit to the farmers' market, the young students had the opportunity to observe winter fruit and vegetables up close, learn about their characteristics, and become more familiar with how the market in their School's neighborhood operates. This experience really helped connect what they learn in school with everyday life.
