Our school doctor, Mr. Makris, visited Psychico College Elementary School and spoke about the importance of caring for our bodies and practicing good personal hygiene. His visit was part of the PYP transdisciplinary unit, "How to take care of my body," which we are currently working on.

Specifically, Mr. Makris referred to the miracle of life. He explained the process of fertilization and the development of the embryo in a simple, understandable way. He also named the basic organs of the human body so that children could learn how their bodies work, how to take care of them, and why it is important to eat healthily, exercise, and maintain their health.

Finally, by learning about the basic organs, children feel more secure and can talk more freely and correctly about their bodies.
