Personality, intelligence, and cultural environment, Designing the school of the future, Engagement with screens and new technologies, Universal Design for Learning

Another creative two-day event for the Athens College Teacher Training Program took place on Friday, November 14, and Saturday, November 15, 2025.

As part of the Teachers Training Teachers program, on November 14, Ms. Popi Vlontaki (PhD, English teacher) delivered a highly engaging session titled "Personality, Intelligence, and Cultural Environment," raising important questions about the factors that influence students' performance and achievement.

On November 15, speakers Ms. Chrysoula Rouga (MSc, French teacher, Athens College Junior High School, Athens College High School, IBDP) and Mr. Athanasios Souflas (MEd, French teacher, Athens College Elementary School) presented an interesting course titled "Designing the School of the Future: Artificial Intelligence at the Service of the Educator." The session drew strong participation from across Greece and the College, with colleagues from schools in Attica attending in person.

On the same day, Dr. Panagiotis Siaperas (Assistant Professor at Democritus University of Thrace) delivered an online session to a large audience across Greece. His timely presentation, "Daily Life Activities in Children and Adolescents: Managing Screen Time and New Technologies," addressed parents and educators with an active interest in this important topic.

As part of the Pedagogical Training Certificate, a new course, "Universal Design for Learning," also began on November 15, with NKUA Professor of Education Anastasia Vlachou as the lecturer. The presence of 18 colleagues in this on-site course fostered an excellent learning community around a very meaningful subject!
