On Tuesday, May 20, students from sections 4c and 4f enjoyed a special experience at the library. Illustrator and comic book creator Konstantinos Sklavenitis visited our school to present his graphic novel adaptation of Penelope Delta's classic work, "Mangas", published by Psichogios Publications.

With great enthusiasm, Mr. Sklavenitis shared insights into the process of transforming a significant literary work into a graphic novel. He discussed the challenges and joys of preserving the spirit and messages of Penelope Delta, while giving the story a modern approach that resonates with today's young readers.

Through illustrations, sketches, and excerpts from the graphic novel, he guided students into the world of Mangas, the charming dog who narrates his daily adventures and experiences in early 20th century Greece. The presentation sparked a lively interaction, with students eagerly asking questions about the creative process and illustration techniques. The visit concluded with the students creating their own comic sketches and story frames.
