Erasmus Program at Athens College Elementary School
Athens College Elementary School teacher Marianthi Giannakopoulou participated in an ERASMUS program in Slovenia. Specifically, the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature, national operator of the network "Ecological Schools" approved by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, in the framework of its participation in the European Erasmus+ project KA210- 59F69C46- "Small-scale partnerships in school education entitled Food in schools and climate change - what is the connection? I take action!" coordinated by Slovenia, invited 10 Eco-Schools from the Prefecture of Attica.
The mobility in the form of a study visit took place in March 13-16, 2024 in Slovenia with representatives from the group of 10 participating Greek schools. The visit aimed to inform and exchange good practices with Slovenian schools on the issue of sustainable nutrition in schools. The project will last for 18 months and there will be two visits of a group of teachers from Slovenia to our School, and one more mobility of a Greek delegation to Slovenia in March 2025, in which our School will be represented by the teacher Fay Kafetzopoulou.
