Director

Loukas K. Zachos is a graduate of Marasleio Pedagogical Academy of Athens as well as the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Department of Primary Education. He then went on to complete postgraduate studies at the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences of the European University of Cyprus. Furthermore, he received training in Harvard University’s Project Zero: Teaching for Understanding & Assessing for Understanding, as well as the International Baccalaureate’s Primary Years Programme.

Before joining the faculty of the Hellenic-American Education Foundation, Loukas Zachos worked in private primary schools.  From 2002 to 2007 he was Deputy Director of Athens College Elementary School, in charge of 3rd and 4th grades, and in September 2007 was appointed the School’s Director.
