9th PanHellenic Junior High School Physics Competition 2021
The Union of Greek Physicists is organizing the 9th PanHellenic Junior High School Physics Competition open to students in JHS grades 7, 8 and 9.
The PanHellenic student
competition will be held in two rounds:
Round I: Saturday, March 20, 2021 – 09:30
a.m. Online
Round II: Saturday, May 15 2021 – 09:30
a.m. at Testing Centers
Students who qualify for Round II are those who achieve a certain grade in Round I. All participants will receive a certificate of participation, but prizes will only be given to those who distinguish themselves in Round II.
The curriculum of the competition is as follows:
7th Grade: Length Measurement - Average Value | Time Measurements – Accuracy | Mass Measurements – Charts, Density | Temperature Measurement – Calibration | From Heat to Temperture – Thermal Equilibrium
8th Grade: Introduction, Movements, Foreces Pressure (only paragraphs 4.1 and 4.2)
9th Grade: Electricitiy, Electric Current, Electric Power, Oscillations
Indicative topics, as well as questions and their answers, which are representative of the philosophy of the competition and which were tested in previous competitions, are posted on the Union’s website: http://eef.gr. Studying previous competition questions and answers can serve as good preparatory material for this year’s event, while also stimulating interest.
Parents of students interested in participating in the competition are kindly requested to:
1. complete the individual form found on the link below by Friday, February 26, 2021

in order to receive by email an individual password with which each student can
compete in Round I. In the case of
siblings, each child must complete his/her own registration form, providing his/her
own personal email address (different from sibling’s). In the field “ΔΙΕΥΘΥΝΣΗ ΔΕ” of each registration form, select “ΔΙΕΥΘΥΝΣΗ Δ.Ε. ΑΘΗΝΑΣ Β΄”
2. send the attached registration form to A. Agallou [ [email protected] ] by Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
