Dear Parents,

As communication between teachers and parents is an important factor for the academic progress of students, we would like to inform you that, in addition to the existing telephone communication (schedule attached once again), starting Thursday, November 5, 2020, you will also be able to communicate with your child’s teachers online via the MS Teams platform.

In order to make an appointment to communicate with teachers online, we re-send:

·       Instructions on how to download MS Teams

·       A schedule of the days and times teachers are available for an appointment (Monday through Friday)

·       Instructions on how to log on to SoSimple

You will be able to start making appointments for an online conference on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, 08:00, by following the steps below:

·       You log on to SoSimple from the School’s main page by clicking on the Parents icon, and entering your individual password.

You select Parent Appointment in order to make an appointment with the teacher you want to contact.  We wish to inform you that you can only make one online appointment per month for each teacher.

On the day of your appointment, you log on to MS Teams using your username and adding the suffix @haef.gr (For example: Username [email protected]). You then enter the password that you use for SoSimple.

At the time of your scheduled appointment, the teacher will call you to start the conversation.

We remind you that the duration of each appointment is 5 minutes.

Additionally, we inform you that:

1.     You can book appointments for three consecutive weeks at a time.

2.     You can book up to four appointments per academic year with any given teacher.

3.     You can book your appointment to see a specific teacher up until 22:00hrs on the day before that teacher is available to meet with parents (as per the schedule).
For example:
If the teacher is available to see parents on Tuesday from 11:10 to 11:55, you may book your appointment up until 22:00 the day before.

4.     Also, you can cancel a scheduled appointment up through 24 hours in advance. In the event that an appointment is cancelled within this timeframe, then it does not count towards the four maximum appointments per year. 

For example:
If you have booked an appointment to see a teacher on Tuesday at 11:20, you can cancel the appointment up until 11:20 the day before.

We would like to emphasize that teachers will call you using the personal information with which you made the appointment.  For example, if the appointment is made by the student’s mother, the teacher will call the student’s mother.
