Dear Parents,
With the start of the school year, we wish to remind you of some useful information that will help in the organization of the school year.
Classrooms
Classrooms are located in “Vasileia” (7th grade and Science labs), “Alexandra Martinou” (8th and 9th grades, IT and Computer labs, Music and Art rooms), and “Glafka” (Art and Music rooms).
Administration and Department of Psychoeducation Offices

Timetable
The student timetable is attached. For your easy reference, the school day begins at 08:30 and end at 15:25, except on Wednesdays when classes end at 14:40.
After-School Activities
After-school activities are held remotely on Tuesdays, Thursday and Fridays (17:00-18:20), depending on the activity. They are scheduled to begin on September 21. You will receive an email from the Secretariat if your child meets all the conditions to participate in the activity he/she has selected.
School Buses
School buses depart 15 minutes after classes end. Students must arrive at their school bus, stationed in the courtyard of Benaki Hall, on a timely basis.
Use of Cell (Mobile) Phones
We remind you that in accordance with Ministry circular Φ.25/103373/Δ1/22-6-2018/ΥΠ.Π.Ε.Θ, students are not permitted to have cell phones or any other devices/games with audio and image data processing capabilities in their possession on school grounds.
Therefore, students who display or use any of the aforementioned devices in School will be disciplined. The device will be taken from the student upon his/her first offense and returned to the student at the end of the school day provided parents have acknowledged by email or fax awareness of the offense. For second or additional offenses, the device will only be returned to the student’s parent.
First Day of School
On Monday, September 13, 2021 classes will be conducted as normal. At 11:00 a.m., students will follow the blessing ceremony in their respective classrooms via livestreaming (due to extraordinary circumstances).
On this day, students will not bring textbooks to school. They must, however, bring a notebook and writing tools (pen, pencil), a face mask and a thermos or bottle of water. If they do not wish to purchase a snack/meal from the canteen, it would be a good idea for them to carry from home an individual snack/meal in a suitable airtight container. We also ask that you kindly send with your child the originals of the medical certificates that you already sent electronically. Place them in a sealed envelope and ask your child to hand them in to their respective Secretariat.
On the Junior High School portal you will find all the latest information regarding your child’s grade level (schedule, events, educational legislation, etc.)
Measures to avoid spreading the new coronavirus
In accordance with Joint Ministerial Decision (J.M.D.) Δ1α/Γ.Π.οικ.55254 regarding the operation of primary and secondary schools upon the start of academic year 2021-2022 and measures to avoid the spread of COVID-19, we inform you that:
Α) The use of face masks (surgical or cloth with suitable specifications) is mandatory for all students, faculty members and other staff, as well as visitors to the school units in the following circumstances:
a) in all of the school units’ indoor spaces,
b) in all of the school units’ outdoor spaces,
c) in student transportation vehicles,
Masks are not obligatory during lunch/snack breaks and during PE lessons. In these instances, necessary social distancing must be observed.
In the event that a student does not observe the mandatory face mask directive, then he/she will not be allowed to enter the classroom and will receive an absence for that class. If a minor, the student will remain in a designated room, observing social distancing and other protection measures, until such time as his/her parents/guardians arrive to collect him/her.
Β) Starting Monday, September 13, 2021, students who have a certificate of vaccination or certificate of recovery from coronavirus in the last six months arrive at School and show their certificate.
Screening for COVID-19 through a free self-diagnostic test is mandatory for students who do not present a certificate of vaccination or certificate of recovery in the last six months. Obligatory, diagnostic self-tests must be performed twice per week, within the 24-hour period before arriving to school on Tuesdays and Fridays. The only exception is the first week of school when the diagnostic self-test must be performed in the 24hour period before the start of school on Monday, September 13, 2021.
Students who are required to perform the diagnostic self-test must show their negative test result upon entering school buses or when entering through the School gates.
Best wishes for a good, healthy and successful school year!
