Psychico College Junior High School UNESCO Representative Team successfully participated in the World Cultural Heritage Youth Symposium 2023 titled ‘Raising Awareness in a digital age’ aiming to promote the dissemination of World Cultural Heritage through the use of digital tools available. The Symposium was held from April 26 to April 30, 2023 and was attended by students from 13 countries, such as the USA (which was this year’s honored country), Andorra, Saint-Martin, Denmark, Italy, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Latvia, Slovenia, and Turkey.

The opening event was hosted by Pierce – The American College of Greece, and the Symposium was held on the premises of the International Olympic Academy in Olympia. It included presentations, digital exhibitions, and workshops aiming to raise awareness among students concerning issues related to Culture, Democracy, Freedom, and acceptance of Diversity. The students were responsible for presenting Cuba's cultural heritage and participated in all the events that were held. The Symposium ended with a guided tour of the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, the Archaeological Museum and the village of Olympia.
